El Saler beach and pine forest

El Saler is considered the best beach in Valencia by many locals due to its amazing location, its white, fine sand and its clean, blue water. It is located at the southern end of the city, about half an hour from the center, and you can get there by bus. It’s also a great beach to practice water sports such as surfing, and it offers a wide range of services and facilities such as showers, restrooms, wooden walkways and much more. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby where you can taste the typical local rice.

Sunset boat ride in la Albufera

Enjoy an unforgettable sunset boat ride on lake L’Albufera, one of the most popular and beautiful in Spain. After a one-hour enjoying the landscape, you’ll arrive at the center of the lake a few minutes before sunset, just enough time to prepare to enjoy the beauty of the sun going down.

City of Arts and Sciences

You can’t visit Valencia without seeing the City of Arts and Sciences. This ultra-modern scientific and cultural complex is the largest of its kind in Europe, and its striking buildings, most of them designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, have become symbols of the city. There’s a lot to see and do inside, so planning your visit in advance is recommended.

picture Paella
Paella

Valencia is truly one of the best places in Spain to enjoy rice, and makes by far the most paella in the world. The pan (called a paella) was set over an outdoor fire of orange tree branches. Inside went snails, rabbits, and sometimes chicken, and huge local beans called garrafó.

Horchata

Tiger nut milk– probably one of the most bizarre translations you’ll find on a Spanish menu! But it’s correct. Tiger nuts are small tubers (part of the potato family) called chufas in Spanish or xufas in Valencian. They’re used to make delicious non-dairy milk, the same way people use almonds to make almond milk. The result is nutty and slightly chalky in texture and generally served ice cold and sweetened. It’s something most people either love or hate, and it’s one of the most refreshing things to have on a hot Valencian day

Buñuelos

Although Valencian Buñuelos are known across Spain as a local delicacy that’s typically consumed during the Fallas celebrations, they are a delicious recipe that can be enjoyed at the best horchaterías all year round. The traditional buñuelo has also led to the creation of new varieties, such as pumpkin, fig, vanilla, horchata and even orange buñuelos.
